Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service
"A Day On, Not A Day Off. A Call To Service."
Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is a nationally recognized day of service that calls for all citizens to work together to provide solutions to current social issues. MLK Day of Service happens on MLK day every January and is a time for students, faculty, staff and community members to reflect both on the legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and how they as individuals can work to build a more socially conscious and just society. Students, faculty, and staff of S&T and community members are invited to participate in the celebration. Service projects will be undertaken in the morning, followed up by a celebration luncheon with opportunities to reflect on the work done, and the steps that need to be taken to build a stronger community.
